Navigating the Caltrans Oversight Process: Moving Projects Forward with Caltrans’ Buy-In

When is Caltrans’ Oversight required versus an Encroachment Permit? How different is project development with Caltrans versus local agencies? Understanding these differences and how Caltrans delivers a project in partnership with local agencies is key to getting buy-in and support from both Caltrans and governing local bodies. The presentation will provide an overview of the Caltrans project delivery process starting with Cooperative Agreements to Project Initiation Phase to Project Approval/Environmental Phase to PS&E Phase to construction.
